I've owned my Hunters Hatchet for 5 years now I've used it for everything from campfire kindling to useing it to field dress deer and squirrels. Very sharp, easily handled and carried whether in a pack or on your belt. This is going to be a family heirloom that will be passed down through our family for many years to come. Got me one of these. I like the size and the heft. Balanced and excellent steel. No refinment of the edge was needed upon delivery and the product was of good quality. Some minor refinement was done on the handle at the pawl and oils applied after a light sanding, other than that , I am very pleased and have recommended to several of my associates that such should be added to their kits.
