We used the same great profile design as our popular Light Hunter, but made it  only .100" thick, rather than .250". Made from the same premium edge-holding D2 steel, we are now able to put a much sharper and longer lasting edge on both the gut hook and main edge. And because it is thinner, it costs a lot less than the Light Hunter.

You all have a phenomenal product. I received the caribou
and another smaller knife from Cabelas when I went on one of their Signature Adventures a couple of years ago. This year I went to New Mexico and was fortunate enough to get an Elk. We used the caribou and smaller knife to skin and quarter my Elk and I would swear it is as sharp now as it was
before we started. The gift from cabelas came without the sheath and I ordered one from you all and the sheath is of amazing quality as well. And was a bargain. Don't remember what I paid just remember it being very
reasonable. The guide I had was actually amazed at how sharp and effective the guy hook was on the caribou. Thanks again. I love knives and have since a boy. Will only buy from Knives of Alaska for my hunting equipment
from here on.
