Full-tang drop-point hunter-style blade, hand sharpened with special convex edge, is razor sharp. Slender 0.100" thick blade reduces drag when skinning and fleshing, easy to resharpen. Steel choices are Crucible's CPMS30V, a U.S.A. made stainless steel that has a dense fine-grained structure that holds a great edge; and D2 Tool Steel, one of the great traditional standbys of custom knife makers and Knives of Alaska. Double drawn and cryogenically treated for maximum edge holding ability. RcH values between 59-61. High quality, vegetable-tanned, oiled leather sheath. The unusually shaped Muskrat is unbelievably effective for skinning and fleshing. It allows the user to skin very quickly by cutting in both directions with a quick flick of the wrist.
